In The Meaning of Lives, Susan Wolf can be seen arguing that life becomes meaningless if a person does not have an aim and is not interested in succeeding in the future. The only way to give life meaning is by getting involved in some projects, and by working hard to achieve the desired results. Three different modes of life have been described in this text: the useless, the bankrupt and the blob. Life is not all about waking up early in the morning, eating the food, sleeping at night or spending time with family and friends. Every person, irrespective of his/her age, should have a meaning of life, and as Wolfe has stated in the text, a person’s life is useless if he spends it here and there and does not do any productive thing throughout the day (Wolf, 2015).
