The similarity between the meta-analysis method and the systematic review is that they both deal with quantitative data. Quantitative data plays a significant role in research by coming up with statistics that the readers of the research paper can use to determine a hypothesis. However, unlike the meta-analysis, the systematic review uses qualitative data to evaluate evidence. Therefore, this makes it a more viable method to use in research because a good research paper has to be supported by both qualitative and quantitative data. Hence, in the case whereby the researcher has used the meta-analysis method, then they have to supplement it with another method of evidence evaluation.
