Did you ever resume working on that issue again? If so, what helped you get “back on the wagon” so to speak?
2. Look at table 14.1 in your chapter. Pick any two characteristics and discuss how you could help a client overcome the characteristics you have selected.
3. Do you know anyone in your life who has a disability? Read the risk factors for people with disabilities. Does this person have any of these risk factors? As a counselor, how might you help this person reduce these risk factors?

Overcoming alcohol addiction is a gradual process that requires consistency and a lot of discipline. During my recovery journey, I experienced an emotional relapse. During this phase, I was emotionally distracted, and I could not focus. I would lock myself up and isolate myself from my peers and friends.
