Comparative analysis
Eiger Dreams is a non-fiction book written from a collection of articles and essays based on rock climbing and mountaineering. It takes place in two different locations. One is the Swiss Alps, the other location is in Alaska (Krakauer, 2012). Jon Krakauer writes this book because it is part of his passion. The story tells how daring people can be and how they can climb up huge mountains with a thin rope and just pure guts. He tells about small Martians in Alaska to large ones in the Swiss Alps, to every climbers cream Everest. On the other hand, the Great Gatsby is considerably the title of the novel and the film, reflecting the Americans who live in the early 20th century. The Great Gatsby was originally launched as a novel that critically represented the ideals of the American dream and considered the past (Scott, 2017).
