New forms of digital media have much impact on the democracy of a society, governing authority, education, or area. The speed at which the new forms of digital media evolve is faster than the learner’s ability to evaluate as well as assessing them. New technology tools have led to an easy form of democracy in society. The inception of the new media tools has enabled widespread ideas from one part of society to the next. The internet changes the traditional way of participation in politics in a more effective way. Democracy levels focus on the necessities of the people in society according to the developing norms and people’s ways of lifestyle (Hogan, 2013). For instance, the electoral process in many nations is transparent and effective due to the adoption of electronic voting equipment. Besides, the new forms of digital media enable effective communication among people in society without individuals need to meet one another. Individuals can communicate faster in little time via email, various websites or through telephone calls. In my view, the new forms of media have improved democracy levels in the world.
Digital media tools have both advantages and disadvantages to social relations in society. The digital media strengthen the democratic process of a country in different ways. Peoples can share information and ideas in a better way using digital media tools. Televisions are on the forefront, which educates society on the appropriate norms as expected by society. Viewers of televisions ape their way of lifestyle according to the technological advancement in society. Therefore, I concur to the point, the new forms of digital media strengthen the democratic process in society. It leads to appropriate social relations in people all over the globe. People can share different thoughts as well as various aspects of society. The internet has enabled people to communicate different aspects affecting their social lifestyle in different countries. However, it has also weakened the social relations in the world. Digital media forms have exposed the young generation to bad social norms leading to evil behaviors in society. For instance, youth finds themselves in prostitution because of sexual websites on the internet.
Citizens should have an awareness of which type of information that can improve their social relations in society. The new technology has to expose the proper societal norms to the growing generations rather than perverted social norms. For instance, it has to teach the youth population on life goals and aims to direct them on what they want to achieve in the future. Some children develop lifetime careers through the new forms of digital media (Yeugeny, 1987). One can admire to become an air force army due to watching different documentaries on the air force. Therefore, digital media need to air out programs that are helpful to people who can teach them different ways of lifestyle.
