Summary. Clark's book, "Why We Keep Clean," introduces the importance of maintaining personal hygiene to the pre-primary kids. Specifically, she trains the children on hand washing values breaking down the different critical moments they should always wash their hands. Notably, she emphasizes before eating and after visiting the toilet to be the most sensitive handwashing moments for children. Furthermore, the writer explains the steps which they should follow when washing their hands. Finally, she says that, with clean hands, the children will avoid many infections, hence promoting a healthy nation. Apart from hand washing, the author tackles teeth brushing. She explains that children should brush their teeth two times a day to avoid cavities and other tooth infections.
