In the United States of America, technology and happiness go together. People in the United States attach happiness with the way technology has eased their work. They are happier when they buy new automobiles and spend much time surfing the internet. Americans happiness is also attached to the way technology makes things faster and saves on time. A Bhutan's happiness is not based on technology. They feel comfortable spending more time with friends and family and not browsing or using their smartphones. They do away with materials too modern to maintain their Buddhist culture that embraces happiness. They are content with whatever they have and do not get pressured to acquire materials like cars and luxury houses.
