George Ferrandi's I Felt Like I Knew You

In Assignment 1, you will be writing a paper about George Ferrandi's I Felt Like I Knew You. In the paper, first introduce the work (who made it, when was it made, what is it titled?). Then identify and discuss the following items:
Where does this artwork occur?
What are the materials in this piece? List all of them.
What do you think this piece means? What does this performance reveal or highlight?
Lastly, after listing all the materials, choose one material and change it. How would this change alter the performance as a whole? For example, would you change the location? Would you change the performer? Would you change the mechanics of the performance? Describe one thing that you would change in the existing performance and speculate how changing this one aspect or material would change the piece overall. You may use additional sources to support your essay. Be careful to not reiterate or restate language from the video or other sources. Your essay should provide a thoughtful reflection of and response to questions outlined above.

Your response to this assignment must contain between 500 - 600 words to receive top marks with a maximum of 600 words in length (not including bibliography).

Your response must be formatted in a readable typeface (e. g., Arial, Times New Roman, Helvetica) and saved as a DOC/DOCX (Microsoft word) file. No other file formats will be accepted for evaluation. Double-spaced, 12 pt. font size, 1-inch margins on all sides, and only one space after periods or other punctuation marks.
Provide a title for all written assignments for modules 1-6 and for the final paper.

Late submission of assignments:
Each student is granted one “72-hour Late Pass” during the semester. The Late Pass grants permission to the student to submit one assignment up to 72 hours late over the course of the semester without penalty to his/her grade. After the expiration of the 72-hour period, the late assignment will not be accepted. The student must notify the instructor of his/her intent to use the Late Pass as soon as possible. The decision to apply the Late Pass should be reserved for special circumstances. The Late Pass should not be used merely because of poor planning or time management. Otherwise, no late work is accepted. All due dates have been planned fairly providing the student ample time to submit completed work.
