The Declaration of independence is a pivotal document for the US citizens; the documents is a proof of a new beginning. The document serves not a just legal purpose, but also contains spirited words of revolution that unite the American people against the oppressor. In this case is the British Empire. Thomas Jefferson used rhetorical devices like repetition, allusion, and diction to hail the new American at the same tie attack King George as the ruler of Great Britain. Throughout the document, the diction used describes the extremes of the Great Britain versus the tolerance of Americans. The Declaration of Independence document used words, like "absolute despotism," to explain King George evil façade portraying him as a bad ruler.
The opening statement presents the purpose of the document, which is to declare the causes that have resulted in the need to separate themselves from the British rule. Thomas Jefferson presents a situation to show the need for measures to be taken. He uses an omniscient tone to make the statement more significant. The tone explains the meaning of action and freedom of movement. The declaration of independence stipulates how King George violated American natural rights. The document describes these rights as movement, rebellions, and revolutions. The document has greatly influenced and inspires many people who want independence from oppressive nations and to declare the world as a place where every man is created equal.
