At the wake of 9th September 2017, a cyclonic storm by the name Irma flushed Florida causing power outage across the city for a whole week. This storm was categorized as a 5 level 5 hurricane something that made the governor of Florida to say, “This storm will be nothing this state has ever seen.” As the state was wiped out by this heavy winds, the neighboring states were also affected killing more than thirty people during the first week.
For a particular catastrophic storm like this to occur, first it must be formed in the ocean water temperatures near the equator. The warm ocean releases vapor which is condensed to clouds releasing heat to the air. As the warm air rises it is pulled into a column of clouds. As this clouds continue to rise, evaporation and condensation continues further enlarging the cloud columns. They further form a pattern enclosing a circling wind at the center. The clouds continue to advance into more clouds forming a cluster of thunderstorm clouds referred to tropical disturbance. This cloud thunderstorm is what hit Florida a few weeks ago, but it was named hurricane Irma. The first place to be hit by this storm is the Caribbean followed by Cuba, Bahamas and Turks causing a catastrophic damage leaving many dead.
When it first hit at the Bahamas, almost five thousand residents were evacuated.
