The photosynthesis process requires sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide, and steps are broadly classified into light-dependent reactions and the Calvin cycle. There is the conversion of light energy to chemical energy in photosynthesis. The photosynthesis process evolved to allow the eukaryotic organisms to synthesize food where light energy is used to get sugars (glucose) carbon dioxide while releasing water (Phelan, 2021).
