Just like people, when plants are deprived of a nutrient they show some characteristic symptoms which, in plants, are generally discolorations. To show the some deficiency symptoms as they developed, we grew corn plants and withheld one known nutrient. Watch a time lapse set of pictures to see changes in the plants as they grew. Write a 550 words summary of what you saw and answer the question in the picture.

Like human beings and animals, plants need essential nutrients to help with average growth and functioning. The range of a plant's sufficiency is the range of nutrients required to meet the plant's nutritional needs to maximize growth. This range's width depends on the plant's species and the specific nutrient. When the nutrient levels are outside its sufficiency range, its overall health and growth will decline because of toxicity or deficiency. Nutrient deficiency happens when a specific essential nutrient is not sufficient enough to meet the requirements of a healthy growing plant. To help us understand more about plant nutrient deficiency symptoms, we grew corn plants and withheld each group with a specific nutrient, and we monitored the plants over four weeks. The results were then compared to the symptoms visible in grapes.
The corn plants were grown in the greenhouse for one month, and photos were taken every week. Three pots were fertilized with all the nutrients, while nine were deprived of essentials nutrients; three were deprived of potassium, three nitrogen, and three lacked phosphorus. There were no visible signs of nutrition deficiency for any of the categories in the first three weeks. However, after three weeks, changes began to appear.
