In California, transportation is the leading source of greenhouse gas emissions. Decarbonizing this sector is critical to meet the state's carbon neutrality targets by 2045 and avert the worst effects of climate change. Achieving a zero-carbon transportation future will be difficult but not impossible. This necessitates immediate action as well as a long-term outlook. Light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles, respectively, account for 70% and 20% of the state's transportation-related GHG emissions (Tozer, 2018). The policy recommends promoting active, shared, and micro-mobility modes of transportation and telecommuting and land-use modifications that lessen people's dependency on autos while improving community connectivity. Petroleum accounts for over 86 percent of all transportation fuel. To accelerate the adoption of ZEVs, the research recommends a combination of more significant regulations, incentives, public charging, and hydrogen infrastructure improvements (Tarroja & Hittinger, 2021). I conquer that innovative terms and policy options to contribute to a zero-carbon transport network while simultaneously supporting proposed mobile applications were discovered in the light-duty vehicle.
