Michael Brown was an armed black teenager who was shot in Ferguson, Missouri, by a white police officer, Darren Wilson. After the officer exchanged words with the black boy, the situation escalated, and the two engaged in a short fight before the police shot and killed the eighteen old unarmed Brown. Additionally, Brown’s body remained in the streets for hours before it was picked, and people from the neighborhood believed that the police mistreated his body.
After investigations where established by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the witnesses who saw shooting reported that Brown had raised his hands when he was fired repeatedly by the officer. Later that night, after the people from the neighboring areas demonstrated, the police used riot gear in an attempt to disperse the protesters. Additionally, there were images that showed police officers using heavy gear, assault rifles, and armored vehicles as they tried to engage with the demonstrators.
