Additionally, transnational crimes are separate from international crimes, which may or may not involve crimes against humanity committed in more than one country (Chapsos, 2019). It is possible to classify a wide range of international organized crime operations, from drug trafficking to human trafficking to money laundering to gun trafficking to wildlife and cultural property trafficking. Transnational organized crime in the region can be traced back to various factors, including geographical location, government, corruption, and economic and social inequalities.
