It is widely accepted that the term may apply when the number of fatalities surpasses the local county or city’s resource capacities that can compel them to seek for mutual aid or assistance from the surrounding jurisdiction (Persoff, Ornoff & Little, 2018). More often than not, mass fatalities affect vulnerable groups such as children and women physically, psychologically, and emotionally. In cases where the occurrence of fatality incidences cause loss of resources, response teams may reach out to the neighboring communities for different kinds of support (Phillips, Neal, Wikle, Subanthore & Hyrapiet, 2008). Some resources that a community can donate to help children and families that are victims of a mass fatalities may include financial support. A community can donate money to facilitate the Critical Response Childcare Team’s operations in delivering services to the victims. Some of the services may include paying psychologists and motivational speakers to talk to the victims and give them moral support during their trying moment (Miller, 2011). Secondly, the community can offer non-monetary supports in terms of donations such as food, clothes, and means of transport for victims who wish to visit the site of the incidence.
