A.) Constitutional law refers to the rights that are created by either the federal or the state governments. Constitutional law is normally written in the constitution. The constitutional law gives and outlines the roles, authority, powers, and structures of diverse bodies within the state and federal governments. These bodies mainly include the executive, the judiciary, and the legislature. It also contains the fundamental rights for the citizens of the country/nation. This law also determines the practices or beliefs that guide the operation of the political parties, ethnic groups, and different races. Constitutional law includes the rights and freedoms of the people like the freedom of religion, right to life, freedom of speech, and right to security, among others (Ahmed and Ginsburg, 2013).
B.) Statutory law refers to the laws that explain and define the written laws. They are normally proposed by the parliament or the legislature. Statutory law is not subject to interpretation in the court of law by the judges when it’s being applied. In most cases, statutory laws are found in a coded language that is not easy to understand (Leeming, 2013). Statutory laws include company formation regulations, tax laws, and traffic rules, among others.
C.) Case law, which is also referred to as common law, is a collection of previously written lawful decisions made in courts by judges and can be used in making decisions and passing judgments in current similar cases in the court of law. The previous decisions are referred to as common law or case law. The case law combines both the domestic, regional, national, and international court decisions. Case law is sometimes typically recorded or written ideas and opinions in previous court proceedings.

Stare decisis refers to a belief, doctrine, and policies set by the courts of law for judges to consider previous judgments by other judges higher in the judicial hierarchy concerning similar cases. It is also a requirement of the judges to look in past cases for similar issues to determine their ruling.
