For the last 25 years, technology has proven advantageous and disadvantageous to human life. It is, however, clear that the advantages of technology outweigh its disadvantages. Due to technology, people can communicate from long distances using their mobile phones. With technology, people have been able to weather the COVID-19 pandemic by working from home. Yet, when one examines technology closely, there is no doubt that it has expanded the rift between the rich and the poor. In this paper, the author explains why this is so.
