The Perspectives And Opportunities Of Joining The Liberal Party

Political Ideology Your Name Subject and Section Professor’s Name February 26, 2019 Introduction Just like personalities, political ideologies are different and unique among different individuals. This is because ideologies do not only exist within mutually exclusive spheres between the right and the left but as a continuum providing countless configurations to which a person can ascribe to. In my case, a contemplation of my ideologies has shown that I lie somewhere near the middle, with an inclination towards the liberal left. I realized that whenever I listen to the news, I also have an inherent predisposition to policies as compared to conservative ones. Being one of the two major parties in the United States, the Liberal party has indeed started relatively small. It was “founded in May 1944, by the leaders of the moderate wing of the American Labor Party” (Britannica.com, 2017). These days, joining the said party provides for many opportunities for growth and development of a person’s career. This article would discuss these perspectives and opportunities of joining the Liberal Party. Liberalism As said earlier, the Liberal Party was created by a small group of people who seceded from its predecessor. Ever since, most of its policies of the party advocates providing social equity and justice, such as the Universal Health Law, legalization of same-sex marriage, and the exhaustion of diplomatic mechanisms as compared to the use of military action (Groome, 2017). Accordingly, I was not surprised with having an inclination towards such ideology, especially considering that both of my parents subscribe to the same principle. Thus, my own ideology could have been brought about by my upbringing. Nonetheless, being a liberal these days has much importance especially in widening such prospects for success.
