What accounts for the political and military success of the Mongols?
The Mongol’s success resulted from their firm and charismatic tribal leader Genghis Khan, whose immense wisdom, strength, and fairness helped him create a strong and disciplined military that conducted successful warfare. Their military success drew on a highly trained, disciplined, speedy, and intelligent army, who had mastered the art of archery, were master riders of small horses which could run for many miles, and was versed with different enemy tactics (Rupen, 2019, pp. 169-171).
Cross-cultural interactions generated by the Mongol Empire.
The Mongol Empire promoted economic, cultural, and social cross-cultural interactions. It facilitated the tolerating of different religions and the spread of Buddhism.
