The words that stood out to me about the topic of diversity are diversity, gender, culture, age, and race. Diversity involves accepting other social, economic, and political demographics in a person’s or region’s constructs. The factors that constitute diversity is accepting various races, culture, genders, age, sexual orientation, and political and religious differences. People must embrace diversity because it fulfills social, physical, and spiritual needs (Burns, 2019). For example, having people from different socioeconomic classes makes a society complete because socioeconomic stratification creates specialization based on classes. Those in the low class provide labor for those in the top classes, making society complete. People of different gender, race, political views, and religious beliefs also contribute to the advantage of diversity where various groups can co-exist in a similar environment. However, diversity can brew human conflict when social, economic, and political differences lead to misunderstanding. For example, in the resource provided, the witches were prosecuted because the rest of the society members did not accommodate their practice.<...
