Organizational culture can be defined as the comprehensive impact of the shared behaviors, values, and beliefs of the personnel in a firm. These company-wide norms influence human resources’ performance, how they serve customers, how they collaborate, their motivation towards accomplishing objectives, and whether they are committed to the company’s overall mission (Michael, 2018). Recent research indicates that there are seven primary attributes that, in total, capture the organizational culture nature: (a) risk-taking and innovative (b) attention to key details, (c) result-oriented, (d) team-centered, (e) human resources centered, (f) stability and (g) aggressiveness (Bamidele, 2022).
Organizational culture plays a central role in processes of organizational transformation and change by creating change preparedness. It ensures that employees are motivated to implement the change initiative. Culture creates shared organizational perspectives to ensure employees identify with the change, thus reducing staff resistance to the proposed initiative or process. In this way, organizational culture creates a team spirit, which generates synergy in the attitudes and beliefs of the employees to embrace the transformation.
