EBP or evidence-based practice is considered revolutionary. EBP is an approach that seeks to offer evidence-based solutions to the issues and challenges being experienced in the healthcare sector. The result of this approach entails enhanced patient outcomes as well as an improved working environment (Yoo et al., 2019). Healthcare professionals are keen to work in environments that enhance their efforts and make it easier for them to actualize their contributions. Therefore, the introduction of EBP is key to helping enhance the entire healthcare sector while also actualizing the introduction and implementation of crucial strategies and systems. However, aside from the introduction of the approach, there is also the issue of disseminating EBP. The dissemination of EBP needs to be worked out to invoke the best out of a team. Therefore, the strategies for dissemination should deliver the best, if not, create the opportunity for the healthcare personnel to see the need for adopting the proposed EBP.
Post Two Dissemination Strategies
There are numerous EBP dissemination strategies. However, the two that appear to deliver and inspire action possibly are unit-level or organizational-level presentations and podium presentations at organizational, local, regional, state, and national levels. These two are target-specific, and hence the reason why they fit best as the strategies to disseminate EBP. While considering the strategy to use, there is a need to consider a strategy that will not leave any stakeholders. For example, publishing in a peer-reviewed journal makes EBP available to thousands or even millions worldwide. However, how many people subscribed to such journals work in the unit one would like to implement an EBP? Target-specific presentations help to bridge the gap between the EBP and the intended audience. Furthermore, they make it more personal because a time for questions and deliberations is always made available.
Least Inclined Dissemination Strategy
Of the four dissemination strategies, poster presentations are the ones that I am least inclined to use. Poster presentations mainly entail a short explanation of the research or EBP and a poster. Usually, they are presented on a single page, and researchers are expected to fit every crucial aspect or element of their study on that same page. The first problem with poster presentations is that they are limiting. As indicated, researchers only have a page to work with, limiting the amount of information that can be included. As Gordon et al. (2013) indicate, poster presentations can be found lacking, especially in quality, because some can miss out on key research areas.
