Improving Nursing Practice
The effects of bullying/mobbing on nurses cannot be understated. Due to this, actions ought to be taken to safeguard our nurses’ mental and physical health. According to Aristidou, Mpouzika & Karanikola (2020), developing educational programs for emergency and critical care nurses to effectively prevent and cope with workplace bullying would significantly improve nursing practices. By developing training programs, nurses train how to manage anger, improve communication skills, and manage conflict. Training will help alleviate workplace bullying hence improving nursing practice. It allows folks to relate well and maximize cooperation through mutual respect leading to quality nursing practices. In addition, institutional policies covering workplace bullying/mobbing should be amalgamated into the training process and encourage the report of any incidence.
