Using the Group Therapy Progress Note in this week’s Learning Resources, document the group session.
Describe each client (without violating HIPAA regulations), and identify any pertinent history or medical information, including prescribed medications.
Using the DSM-5, explain and justify your diagnosis for each client.

Two Clients in a Group Therapy
The two clients observed or counseled this week during a group therapy session are; first client #A: 37 years old with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and second client # B: 22-year-old with Major Depressive Disorder. This report provides an analysis of the two patients with the mentioned mental challenges in accordance with the generally set principles, rules, and regulations such as the HIPAA regulations.
Description of Client #A
Client #A was admitted for rehabilitation as a result of agitation and pressured speech. Apart from her agitation, Client #A had experienced past events of attempted suicide by Xanax OD. She confirms her behavior concerning cutting her left arm. Client #A completed a safety and crisis plan for managing significant risk, harm to self or others, or crisis situations after discharge.
Description of Client #B
On the other hand, Client #B is a 22-year-old male with suicidal ideation, major depressive disorder, and ethos abuse. As a result of depression and heavy drinking for 2 to 3 days, patient #B was found on the road staggering by police, which in turn brought him into the hospital.

History of present illness Client # A
Client #A confirms her anxious behavior that usually makes her confront her current lover since she suspects him of having another lover. She claims to care so much for him and worries if she confronts him, he will decide to leave her for the other lover and leave her heartbroken. Patient # A claims to have been raised by her single father, and she also left her initial husband with a child to be with her current lover. She says she tried committing suicide by overdosing on Xanax when she first realized her situation was “messed up.”

Social History: Raised by a single father. Her mother got remarried and left her father to raise her alone.
