Social determinants of health encompass conditions in a given environment, which affect a broad range of health issues including functioning, health risk and outcomes. Social determinants of health entail both the social and economic circumstances which influence health status. The main social determinants of health include economic stability, education, social and community, healthcare and environment. Diabetes is one of the chronic and non-communicable diabetes that has become a burden to the healthcare system. Diabetes represents a constellation of symptoms that relate to impaired sugar metabolism. Social determinants of health can modulate the biological processes associated with sugar metabolism. The Copper Queen Community Hospital is one of the crucial rural clinics in the heart of Arizona, which has been providing healthcare services, including diabetic care.
The Copper Queen Community Hospital is of the leading rural clinics in Bisbee, Arizona in the U.S. It is a full-service home health agency, which operates under the umbrella of Copper Queen Community Health. The Copper Queen Community Hospital has existed and served communities in Bisbee and other parts of Southeast Arizona for at least 125 years. It continues to strive for improving and providing quality healthcare services. The Community Hospital campus has a wide range of services including laboratory and imaging, occupation medicine, physical therapy and telemedicine, among others.
It provides daily nursing care for patients during the day and 24-hour on-call support, being accompanied by emergency response systems that guarantee further comfort.
