One of the developments with technological advancement is telehealth, which denotes the use of telecommunication technologies to deliver care, education, and information (Gajarawala & Pelkowski, 2021). Telehealth has several benefits as well as drawbacks. One key benefit of it is that it is a cost-effective and efficient method that allows the delivery and access of quality healthcare services and outcomes. Gajarawala and Pelkowski (2021) noted that telehealth could reduce the American high healthcare costs by specifically addressing aspects such as prolonged hospitalizations, unnecessary visits to the emergency department, and medication misuse.
