This paper provides brief information concerning sexually transmitted infection and none sexually transmitted infections. In different settings across the world and mostly in developing countries; STIs are a major determinant of most disease burden. This paper also explores signs and symptoms that are in line with Sexually Transmitted Infections. STIs are made up of complex infections that are caused by many various microorganisms (Gallo et al., 2012).
Sexually Transmitted Infections and Non-Sexually Transmitted Infections
STIs can be passed from one person to another after sexual intercourse. It is important to note that STIs can be contracted via vaginal sex, oral sex and/or anal sex. Some of the most common types of STIs include Syphilis, H.I.V, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, Trichomonas, and gonorrhea (Gallo et al., 2012). There are also those infections that are not sexually transmitted. There are those STIs that can be gotten from animals, toilet seats, and/ or kissing. Some of the examples of None-STIs include; Chlamydia, Herpes Simplex Virus 1and 2, and Human Papillomavirus Virus. This paper will be exploring symptoms and signs of Gonorrhea as a sexual transmitted infection and Herpes Simplex Virus which is an example of non-STI (SexInfo Online., 2016).

Sexually Transmitted Infections have got numerous signs and symptoms that needs to be treated. Some of the signs and symptoms of these STIs include changes in urination, a feeling of itching in the vaginal area, pains during sex, sores around the sexual organ, and abnormal bleeding. Gonorrhea is a disease that can be passed from one person to another via anal, oral, and vaginal sexual intercourse. Symptoms of gonorrhea normally appear within a period of two or fourteen days after an individual has been exposed to the risk.
