What kind of training, orientation, and/or on-boarding have you experienced in your professional life?
In my professional life, the training I have experienced involved in Electronic Health Records training. Through this training, it helped me as a medical practitioner in understanding the manner that this system can be utilized in clinical practice. My training was associated with the improvement off the application of advanced electronic health record, and additionally; it improved the satisfaction of all other health care practitioners during the training.
By learning the importance of EHR, I understood how critical Health Information Technology is in the improvement of healthcare quality, reduction of healthcare costs, and increased patient safety (Amatayakul, 2013). During the training, I was highly unconvinced that EHRs can improve overall patient care and clinical outcomes. However, once the training once complete, I comprehended that EHRs could only improve patient care through effective continuity and proper sharing of information. These mainly incorporate clinical reporting and raising collaborations with all relevant stakeholders simultaneously.
How would you develop an evaluation of any orientation or training so as not to repeat what you thought didn’t work well?
The evaluation will mainly focus on an approach to training that emphasizes on forward-thinking in the EHR training program that will concentrate on user involvement. This assessment will help in allowing the entire health system of the health institution to introduce a new electronic health record system through the reduction of implementation-related reductions in the revenue (McCormick & Saba, 2015). This will only be achieved by heavily investing in a user-centered training plan for all medical practitioners.
Ensuring the EHR is a complete success will also depend on organizing department-level training and also the best ways for ensuring that the health enterprise will involve users in developing training and familiarization sessions with the EHR system (Amatayakul, 2013). This will allow all ...
