Translational research places focus on the achievement of improved health outcomes relating to scientific discoveries. It bridges the existing gap between clinical and basic researches. Translational research improves the uptake and utilization of evidence-based strategies to improve patient outcomes and population health (Evans et al., 2018). Additionally, the research holds a significant influence on health policies by providing a scholarly action research basis. Through translational research, critical health problems are identified. After identifying the health problems of concern, the benefits and harm of policy strategies are researched. The consequences and costs of establishing policy proposals are estimated, and active participation is employed in the policy process to assist with decision-making in real-time (Evans et al., 2018).
