Nutrition plays an important role in health promotion. People who eat a well-balanced diet tend to have high immunity. However, people who do not consume healthy meals tend to get various health complications associated with poor nutrition (Ruel et al., 2017). Therefore, every person ought to eat healthy for them to promote their health and wellbeing. Good nutrition boosts an individual’s immunity and helps in the prevention and management of certain diseases such as obesity.
Among the nutritional challenges for emerging populations are poor diets and lifestyle associated health conditions. For instance, if an individual is poor, they might not afford to eat healthily. As a result, they will develop health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and heart diseases (Ruel et al., 2017). These diseases are increasing at a high rate among the populations, making them an emerging issue.
