A nurse Informaticist is a person who assists computer programmers of nursing systems developers in creating and implementing a computerized nursing system. On the other hand, the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) refers to the system developers' steps to develop and implement the automated system. An SDLC must use a procedural problem-solving approach to accomplish the aim of the computer system. This procedure must use the minimum cost and time. A nurse Informaticist should guide the system developers on different stages of SDLC. The design is supposed to organizational needs and also come up with the solutions. The input of nurses is critical when it comes to the development of the information system.
Stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle
There are five main stages of the SDLC. These steps are planning and requirement definition, feasibility, design, implementation testing, and maintenance. A nurse should participate in each of these steps so that an organization can be able to have a positive outcome of the patients. A nurse should be able to come with a final solution.
1 Planning and requirement definition
This is the best tool that enhances the success of different operations in any organization. When it comes to system development, the lead nurse should be able to give the developers the plan of the healthcare organization (Chalmers, Siska, Le & Knoer, 2018). Additionally, the system developer should use all the available information to plan. This step involves the identification of things required to convey the given output. The lead nurse should provide the needed inputs into the system.
2 Analysis
