To promote population health, community health nurses have to collaborate with stakeholders in the community. The nurse’s role is to facilitate the adoption of health promotion behaviors and activities. According to Savage (2020), community nurses provide the community with health education materials that guide the community on how to best promote community health and improve health outcomes. The community health nurse can also advise the community stakeholders on community-wide activities that can enhance health, such as the creation of community gyms and running tracks to promote physical activity in the community.
In addition, the community nurse also acts as the community’s advocate.
