For any communicable disease to be effectively controlled and its spread barred, robust policies ought to be in place. Some policies that need to be in place with regard to communicable diseases include an immunization policy, screening policy, and criminal law and mandatory disclosure (WHO, 2018). Immunization or vaccination should be free or very affordable to maximize the level of uptake within the society. Screening for communicable diseases should be heavily publicized and made affordable to ensure early identification of the diseases which in turn calls for early treatment and in the long run contribute to a reduction in transmission rate or prevalence levels. Criminal law and mandatory disclosure should be strictly enforced, more so for individuals that blatantly defy measures put in place to prevent communicable diseases such as isolation.
To ensure that all staff, as well as the patients, are protected from any disease means that the organization has robust safety measures. Safety in a health organization is normally a multifaceted venture and several approaches are employed to ensure its success.
