The score and interpretation of Political Astuteness Inventory.
The scores of the Political Astuteness Inventory Test I took totaled 33. According to established guidelines, a score of 33 shows exemplary awareness of political awareness. To mean, I am politically astute and I am an asset to the nursing profession. In the future, I shall be at the forefront of articulating the nurses' needs and formulating policies that will positively impact on nurses and the whole profession. Notably, it is a moral and professional responsibility of the nurses to take part in key legislation that impacts their patients. Whenever nurses influence the politics that help shape healthcare delivery, they are essentially helping their patients.

RE: INCREASE OF NURSING STAFF
The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc, and many individuals are suffering not only health-wise but also socially and economically. However, this letter aims to address the most pressing need of increasing the nursing staff.
Research and physical observation have it that nursing activities score have increased in COVID-19 patients. The nature of this disease requires uttermost dedication from nurses, including periodic shifts that are not conventional.
First, with the COVID-19 patients, the healthcare workforce is at an increased risk of exposure, and there is a need to use personal protective equipment. In the coming days, the number of patients coupled with the demand for more ICU beds and spaces will increase at an unprecedented level. As such, the nursing workforce will significantly strain in handling a huge number of patients, including their needs.
The virus has since infected a large percentage of nurses, and the crisis is looming if additional staff is not added to fill the gap left by others. The underlying issue of inadequate staffing must be properly handled and the ratio of patients to nurses narrowed. There are inadequate staffing levels in the neighboring hospitals, and with nurses’ infection increasing, it is critical to increase their number. As such, we request that additional ICU nursing staff be increased to help fight the pandemic.

The influence of health policies on the nursing profession cannot be overstated. Whenever nurses get themselves involved in health policy development, the results show themselves in the form of high-quality, safe, affordable, and accessible care.
