Personal Perspective of Nursing and Incorporating a Nursing Theory 
Nursing is the science and art of respecting human dignity and considering patients’ care needs and preferences. Nursing is a commitment to the patient, whether population, community, group, family, or individual (Olson & Stokes, 2016). In care delivery, the nurse identifies the client’s needs based on nurse-patient interactions, patient behaviors, and observation (Gaudet & Howett, 2018). Nursing is vital to me because it offers an opportunity to become a nurse leader to achieve the vision of the transformed health care system. Nursing leadership is vital because executives are tasked with fostering the vision of the empowered practice environment and actualizing such a vision. In addition, leadership is crucially important in the health care organization hierarchy and the point of patient care delivery (Fitch, 2019). My nursing practice is anchored on Ida J. Orlando’s dynamic nurse-patient relationship theory that ensures that the nursing care is centered on the client and offers an avenue for the practitioner to enhance patient health and wellbeing outcomes (Gaudet & Howett, 2018).
