The delivery of quality patient care makes for the main objective among health care providers across the global healthcare system. Achieving such an outcome is dependent on the ability of physicians and other healthcare practitioners to incorporate their knowledge and skills into practical applications using the guiding principles and practices of delivering patient care. Among the common practices embraced by physicians for effective delivery of patient care include conducting patient interviews in the process of providing diagnosis and treatment of the diverse medical conditions or problems presented by patients.
Patient interviews are a common practice across the different healthcare systems around the world and functions to deliver on two primary objectives in the delivery of patient care. It allows the physician to evaluate various elements of the patient’s condition, including both the objective signs and subjective symptoms towards developing an appropriate diagnosis for the medical problem.
