I have always felt drawn to people in need of help. Based on this deeply ingrained need to help, I have always seen nursing as more than a practice. To me, nursing is a calling to help people in need of health care. I have always admired how people use the word nursing while describing the activities taken to help a sick person get better. Whether these activities include feeding or cleaning after a sick person, they all matter because they ensure to provide the person the support he needs to gain back his good health. That is what the nursing practice means to me; providing support to a sick person until he gets better.
