You have an idea to improve patient care that you would like upper management to support and fund. What type of communication tool would you use to present your idea and why?
Improving competency care is one strategy to improve patient outcome, patient satisfaction and nurse satisfaction. Communicating to the top management is necessary to effect changes, and this requires choosing the most appropriate communication channels. Using evidence when communicating highlights how taking action improves outcomes in clinical settings. Ideally, organization should support open communication, and the staff should be clear when communicating with the upper management (Riley, 2015). The upper management would most likely seek analysis of costs and benefits of specific actions and decisions.
