Crisis management is an essential ability that any organization should have. Whether in the context of a large corporation or a small business group, being able to respond timely to threats to the workplace dynamics is a must. Crisis management according to Hermann (1972; as cited by Reilly, 1987), “a crisis is a situation incorporating three conditions: (1) a threat to high priority goals; (2) a restriction in the amount of time available for response; and (3) a surprise to decision makers”. In contrast to this, Reilly (1987) furthered the idea of the crisis management by giving six (6) facets of crisis management, namely; (1) Organization’s quick response ability, (2) How informed the managers are, (3) Manager’s access to Crisis management resources, (4) The adequacy of Strategic crisis planning, (5) Manager’s perceived likelihood of crisis occurring, and (6) The Organization’s media Management capabilities in Crisis.
