I support the new divorce laws for state X because of the increase in divorce cases and their impact on children and families. Parents with children need to complete a 16-hour divorce education curriculum and wait for 8 months before filing for a divorce.
Most families rely on the courts to resolve their family issues; it's not surprising that 44 percent of first marriages result in separation and divorce within 10 years. By implementing such laws, state X will help many children escape the trauma of divorce. Attending the 16-hour divorce education will make parents more aware of the impact of divorce on their children. Such program gives them additional information and skills, which might reduce the number of disputes that would require frequent court interventions.
When parents with children have the intention of divorcing, divorce educational programs make parents aware of the importance of considering children during divorce because approximately a million children across the country are affected by the divorce.
