1 Human caring theory. How I can use this theory to direct care in a nursing unit if I were the manager?
There are three categories of middle-range theories that are relevant to the nursing practice. These include middle-range descriptive theories, classification theories, and explanatory theories. In this regard, middle-range explanatory theories refer to the theories that specify the correlation between concepts. These theories try to provide the reason as to why and the degree to which various concepts are correlated (Jacqueline, 2005). Such theories are developed and tested by using quantitative correlation research. For instance, the human caring theory that was developed by Jean Watson is an example of the middle-range (Jacqueline, 2005).
