A systematic review is a type of literature that collects and analytically analyzes the data collected from multiple studies in the same field. In the health care industry, systematic reviews are essentially divided into two groups, meta-analyses, and meta-synthesis reviews (Jansen et al., 2011). The meta-analysis study is a statistical technique that is used in the field so as to determine similar or varying results of a specific treatment plan. With meta-analysis, it provides the reasons as to why there can be a common effect, and if the results differ, it can help in identifying the reason behind the variation (Jansen et al., 2011). This study is critical as the utilization of a study or hypothesis on patients cannot be sanctioned by carrying out only one research. This is due to the fact that people are different and the results are also expected to differ (Jansen et al., 2011). Meta-synthesis, on the other hand, is the collection of several types of research from different authors and breaking them down and analyzing the findings critically (Jansen et al., 2011).
