Learner and Organizational Needs
Learner needs are considered to be personal, specific and identified needs by an individual nurse as he or she is exposed to the management of patients with COVID-19 (Hidayat, 2020). On the other hand, organizational needs these needs that are aligned with the goals of the hospital, the workflow, and the outcome for the management (World Health Organization, n.d.).
Analysis of Learner Needs
With the perceived needs, certain data collection tools may be used to gather information including surveys, interviews, focus groups, reflections, and certain difficulties arising from the provision of care for COVID-19 patients (Pilcher, 2016). The gap between the perceived needs and the actual needs may serve as pointers for prioritizing topics for educating the nurses.
