To begin with personal accountability, I can rate myself in all phases of a process that I undertake in normal life. Generally, I see myself as always willing to take ownership of activities and this has helped me to be able to start and accepts personal tasks. My major strength is my answerability to the results obtained regardless of the nature of the outcome. My weakness is the inability to take an action and attempt to see into completion unless it is of necessity. In relation to professional accountability, my strength is the ability to adhere to the nursing legislation as well as the nursing code of conduct. On the other hand, my weakness is the lack of authority to perform a particular activities through policies, delegation, organization and protocols.
Career Planning
My strengths heavily lie on strategizing and building my career because I have already set a target and a properly designed plan that will enable me to reach the ceiling (Stephen Tilley, 2008). Am flexible and can easily adapt to different working conditions. My ability to readjust quickly enables me to cop up with dynamics in the nursing profession. I have a perfect ability in understanding job requirements and tuning focus on meeting those requirements. I am competent in understanding my roles too.
Personal Journey Disciplines
Personal journey disciplines entail those skills that enhance the development of individual leadership strengths. I am expertise in action learning. This is exhibited in the way I learn to solve problems by observing how my mentors do. My expertise also encompasses reflective practice. My character has always reflected that of a leader no wonder I have served a student leader at various levels of learning (Jasper, Rosser, & Mooney, 2013). However, my weakness sets in areas of managing councils that are aimed at enhancing leadership. My capacity is not built enough to develop and sustain such councils.
Reflective Practice References Behaviors/Tenets
Most of my leadership strengths are found in this category since my personality is based on creativity and I always generate my guidelines to facilitate my reflective practices. Leadership traits such as integrity, diversity, non-judgmental, working under ambiguous environments and discovery of potential are enshrined in my personality (Jasper, Rosser, & Mooney, 2013). My shortfall is nurturing emotional self and intellectual.
