Essay Instructions:

Your comments will be graded on how well they meet the Discussion Requirements posted under “Before You Begin.”
A poem by T.S. Eliot (1943) says, “We had the experience but missed the meaning.” As your experience in this course comes to a close, I don’t want you to miss the meaning of the materials you have read, papers you have written, and discussions we have had throughout the session. They are more than a series of assignments and grades—the end result should be an improvement in your higher-order thinking and your ability to make connections between thoughts and ideas. You can achieve that through reflection, the art of taking charge of your own mind.
Reflection is a mental process that challenges you to use critical thinking to examine the course information, analyze it carefully, make connections with previous knowledge and experience, and draw conclusions based on the resulting ideas. A well-cultivated critical thinker (Paul & Elder, 2008):
raises vital questions and problems, formulating them clearly and precisely;
gathers and assesses relevant information, using abstract ideas to interpret it effectively; comes to well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, testing them against relevant criteria and standards;
thinks open-mindedly within alternative systems of thought, recognizing and assessing, as need be, their assumptions, implications, and practical consequences; and
communicates effectively with others in figuring out solutions to complex problems.
For this discussion, take some time to reflect upon two concepts that you learned in this course. What are the concepts? What insight or ideas did you gain from learning each of these concepts? Were there aspects of the concepts that you would challenge? What is the importance of these concepts to health administration? How will you use this new wisdom in your current or future career?
In order to earn maximum credit, the comment should be more than your opinion, and more than a quick “off the top of your head” response. Be sure to support your statements, cite sources properly, cite within the text of your comments, and list your reference(s). The response must be a minimum of 250 words.

Health Information Systems plays a significant role in generating, analyzing, and disseminating patients' data from health providers and other health establishments. It is intensely focused on the quantitative data of public health and mortality rate, cause of health problems, calculates the relationship of the health problem's severity and its effects, and the evaluation of health interventions to different health problems (AbouZhar & Boerma, 2005). The start of this system made me realize the scale of how the health information system influences people from both perspectives of positivity and negativity.
Just like any other organization or system, HIS also faces different challenges and disadvantages as they continue to improve. According to Mariani & Mohammed (2015), this supports the idea that cybersecurity would be one of the challenges that HIS needs to be aware of since it is focused on data technology. With learning this shortcoming, I would deliver all data entrusted to me with the utmost care and only provide it to those who have access. I would also practice caution when transpiring data and providing information not to leak the patients' private data, especially the exceptional cases where they are in need to be hidden. HIS is also provided with a wide range of data that selected health providers can access, which will sometimes be a challenge in terms of validity and reliability (Kruse et al., 2016). This actively demonstrates that information that can be see-through technology would not always be reliable, and as a future figure in the medical field, we should be aware of which information is valid and on what account it is valid. Although having this large amount of data as a basis for development is a good sign for most health establishments since it will provide a foundation for future assessment, we should still be aware of the trustful organizations that provide accurate and reliable sources.
On the other hand, benefits are also overwhelming after the establishment of HIS, and one would be the improvement in the medical research field. According to Roberts et al. (2016), samples are required for research to act complete and hold the most crucial part. With HIS's help, gathering information would be more comfortable for the researchers, wh...
