Obesity is also considered a disease. The discussion further widens the vision of why these patients are suffering from this disease and its impacts on their health. People who are obese or those near the weight of obesity usually get discriminated against by our society. Some obesities are caused by psychological factors. These habits are hard to eliminate because it is up to the patient itself if he or she can stop them.

Health care authorities are always finding ways to prevent the risk of psychological damage due to their disparities. The discussion includes recommendations and a checklist that can significantly contribute to the patient's wellbeing, thus mitigating the effects of trauma.

Bias is purely made by our society and doesn't mean anything. One way of reducing tendencies in ourselves is to seek multiple perspectives to make an unbiased decision. This need to seek a variety of perspectives and apply them in various situations is one of the main key takeaways in the readings. Going back to the discussion, it could be seen that by seeking multiple perspectives, fairness is assured because our society nowadays sees obese patients as unproductive. They are prone to discrimination. But patients like these can excel in other stuff, like on psychological they might not have a healthy physical body, but they can compete when it comes to psychological problems.
