Abstract
These medical issues can be categorized into acute or chronic cases from malaria to cancer and other diseases. Every medical provider will handle a health condition based on these categories. Acute illness is simply a short-term disease and requires short-term medical attention. Contrarily, chronic diseases usually develop without noting and then worsen over time. For example, cancer will start with a tumor and then slowly develop until it affects different body parts. Essentially, chronic diseases usually have a significant impact on the immune system. The research will examine the differences between acute and chronic cases. In this case, the journal entry will focus on the causes, prevention, and medication of both acute and chronic cases. Additionally, the research will be carried out on different medical platforms and varied viewpoints.
The Difference Between Acute Cases and Chronic Cases
Viruses or infections usually cause acute diseases (conditions), but they are not limited to injuries (Healthy Aging Team, 2020). These conditions can also be attributed to the misuse of medical drugs such as painkillers. On the other hand, chronic conditions are usually caused by lifestyle (Whitlock, 2020). Lifestyle includes unhealthy behaviors such as poor diet and eating junk foods. Chronic cases can also be attributed to alcohol, lack of exercise, and emotional stress.
