K.M is a 38-year-old divorced American present to the hospital with feelings of anxiety, and sleep disorders for the past three months, K.M is a military veteran. His retirement was forced due to his unmanaged alcohol abuse. According to the patient, he feels worried and experiences sleepless nights. He asserts that despite his efforts to forget his past, the vivid traumatic experiences attained in the Afghanistan War continue to linger in his memory. Every time he falls asleep, he is awakened by the terrifying flashbacks. Additionally, the patient asserts that he does not function well and that he is forced to leave his career job as an ambassador because of fatigue following the lack of sleep.
