Food labels contain useful data to assist you in making good decisions about the food. A food label may inform you if the food has an additive that you need to avoid. The nutrition data panel helps someone to liken the nutrient profile of related products and select the one that suits him/her (Wilson, 2020). Labels can contain data about the circumstances under which the food was manufactured. A bean is the seed of one of the numerous genera of the flowering plant family Fabaceae, which are utilized as vegetables for animal or human food. Beans may be cooked in various ways, comprising of frying, boiling, and baking. This is the food that I like eating, specifically canned beans, and kidney beans, to be exact. The serving size of canned beans is a 1/2-cup (130-gram) serving of beans — canned or homemade — which comprises of 3 teaspoons average (7 grams) of sugar added (Wilson, 2020). That’s like 19% of the everyday maximum for a 2,000-calorie diet. I think it's a reasonable one because one is able to get satisfied with this amount. My serving size will be about 25 to 38 grams (g) since this is what nutrition experts suggest for the adults to consume.
Though amounts of macronutrients can vary by product, a 1/2-cup (130-gram) serving micronutrients of canned beans offers roughly: Protein: 6 g, total fat: 0.5 g, Calories: 119, Fiber: 5 g, Sodium: 19% of the(RDI) Reference Daily Intake, Iron: 8% of the RDI, Zinc: 26% of the RDI, Selenium: 11% of the RDI, Vitamin B6: 6% of the RDI, Potassium: 6% of the RDI (Howard, 2018).
